Northcutt Capital was formed as a vehicle to help friends find a strong place to hold and grow money while helping us accelerate our acquisition process. When purchasing iconic restaurants, we intend to also purchase the real estate housing these restaurants. In these real estate acquisitions, we form Limited Liability Corporations (“LLC”) for each property. Our friends can then come in as a limited partner in the LLC and own a piece of that property, which gets them annual cash returns, ownership in an appreciating asset, and depreciation on taxes. We like to try to do three to six of these LLCs simultaneously so that partners can equally invest across the portfolio of properties instead of one individual property.
